𝟐𝟏 𝐖𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐁𝐄 𝐀 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓 𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄.

A successful Marriage is a union of two intentional individuals. Your marriage will not work if you don't put in the work.
Sadly, very many people are not enjoying their marriages. Many wish they hadn't gone into it in the first place. And this is not the will of God for marriage. God wants you to enjoy your marriage to the fullest but

how can you do that if you and your spouse are not intentional about being a great spouse to each other.

Here are ways through which you can be the best partner to your spouse:

1. 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐀 𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐃 𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐆𝐎𝐃.
A solid, smooth, and sweet relationship with God will surely rob off on your relationship with your spouse. As you move closer to God, you will consciously or unconsciously move closer to your spouse.
God is the creator of Marriage. His Word has the blueprint for marriage. As you take time to study the Word of God, you will uncover the TIMELESS LESSONS AND PRINCIPLES FOR A SUCCESSFUL AND HEALTHY MARRIAGE.

2. 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐀𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐊 𝐀𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐘.
Regularly express your love and affection through hugs, kisses, pecks, and kind gestures. Don't forget to always tell your spouse, "I LOVE YOU." True love is not only in words but also in deeds. As you speak affectionately to your spouse, let him/her see and feel the love.

3. 𝐆𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍.
Attention breeds affection. What you pay attention to regularly shows where your affection lies. Let your spouse get the best of you. Many partners have all the time in the world for social media and TV but have little or no time for their spouses.
Give your spouse a listening ear. Listen to them as they discuss their happiness or sadness, successes or failures, jokes or rants, compliments or complaints, observations or suggestions, to mention a few.

4. 𝐁𝐄 𝐀 𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐌 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐄𝐑.
Work hand-in-hand with your spouse and not against him/her. Approach situations and challenges as a team, working together to find solutions to problems.
Don't be an absentee spouse. Let your partner feel your presence in the union.

5. 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐄𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐋𝐘.
Communication is the life wire of any relationship. Your marriage vehicle will soon be grounded if you don't grease the wheels with proper and effective communication.
You should talk about anything and everything with your spouse. Keep the communication line open, and active. Don't bottle up hurts, feelings, and emotions. Speak up to prevent monumental damages.

6. 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐀𝐍𝐘𝐎𝐍𝐄.
Desist from unhealthy comparison as it is the thief of joy. Don't be caught in the web of comparing your spouse to anyone, especially if it aims to paint your partner in a bad light.

7. 𝐊𝐄𝐄𝐏 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐁𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆.
There's a kind of beauty and taste that new wine has. It's always fresh and sweet. Let the wine of your marriage remain ever fresh, sweet, and heavenly.
Deliberately fall in love with each other daily. Don't ever let the fire of romance be put out. Try new things. Variety is the spice of life while monotony kills interest.

8. 𝐒𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐒𝐅𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑 𝐒𝐄𝐗𝐔𝐀𝐋 𝐍𝐄𝐄𝐃𝐒.
Sex is an integral part of marriage. No Marriage can SURVIVE without it. Don't starve yourself or your partner.
Try new sex styles. It's not every time you will be doing 'mummy and daddy' style. Let your partner enjoy you from different angles. Don't be "holier than thou" in your bedroom. Be free with your spouse and explore together.

9. 𝐁𝐄 𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐎𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐓.
Remember that your spouse is not perfect just as you are not. Be patient with each other. Tolerate each other.
Don't be easily irritable. Don't be the nagging type. Nagging saps the juice and sweetness of a marriage. Learn to be patient.

10. 𝐒𝐀𝐘 "𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐘" 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐍𝐄𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐘.
Be willing to apologize when you're wrong or have hurt your spouse, and strive to make amends. Don't employ a defense mechanism where you are meant to apologize.

11. 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐓 𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑.
Respect is reciprocal. Don't belittle your spouse. Avoid the kind of "see finish" syndrome that makes spouses disrespect each other and drag themselves in the mud. Let your family members know their boundaries with your spouse.
Don't sit back and watch your friends, colleagues, neighbours, and family members disrespect your spouse. Once this happens, you have lost your respect too.

12. 𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐀 𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐃.
Help each other in every aspect. Husbands, please, don't wait to be asked; take initiative in household chores. Help your wife in whatever way you can.
Wives, please, don't wait to be asked; take the initiative in supporting him financially. If you notice that your husband needs help sorting some bills and you can afford to do it, please, don't hesitate.

13.  𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑'𝐒 𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐒.
Acknowledge and celebrate your spouse's accomplishments, big or small, to show your support and pride. Be each other's CHEERLEADERS.

14. 𝐅𝐋𝐈𝐑𝐓 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄.
Flirt with your spouse daily. Tease him/her. Women, always remember that men are moved by what they see. Seduce your husband in your bedroom. Get se.xy lingeries, nice body sprays and be neat. Dress up in front of him. Let him see and admire you.
Husbands, don't forget that women are moved by what they hear. Please, say sweet things to your wives regularly. Compliment her looks. Admire and desire her in words as much as you do in deeds.

15. 𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐘 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑.
Always soak your spouse in prayers. Don't ever get tired of doing this. Even on days when things are not smooth, still pray for him or her.

16. 𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐙𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐅-𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐅-𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐄.
Take good care of yourself. You matter and your health matters too. Stay healthy so that you and your spouse can enjoy each other for long.

17. 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐘 𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐇𝐅𝐔𝐋 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐋𝐎𝐘𝐀𝐋.
Fidelity and loyalty are missing in many marriages. Don't allow your marriage to join the queue. Stay faithful, committed, and loyal to your spouse. Desist from all other men or women. Focus on your partner alone.

18. 𝐀𝐋𝐖𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐄.
Regularly express gratitude for the little things your spouse does, showing appreciation for their efforts. Be grateful for the gift of your spouse in your life.

19. 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐘 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑.
Nurturing your emotional connection is very key. Stay connected no matter what. Create time to bond. Create time for intimacy.

20. 𝐁𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐓.
Be open and transparent in your communication, and dealings, sharing your thoughts, feelings, and concerns honestly. Don't keep secrets from each other, remembering that you have both become ONE.

21. 𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐙𝐄 𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑.
After God, your spouse comes first. Make your spouse a priority by investing time, effort, and energy into his/her growth and happiness.

Please, feel free to share but don't plagiarize.
May God give us Christian Homes, Amen!
